Knight Rider Sequential Flashing Brake Light Empty
PostSubject: Knight Rider Sequential Flashing Brake Light   Knight Rider Sequential Flashing Brake Light I_icon_minitimeSat Dec 28, 2024 8:50 pm

I fitted a Knight Rider Sequential 12 LED Light Bar with Flashing Brake Alert to the Givi topcase of my 2007 Suzuki Burgman 400 back in 2008. I bought it from www.customdynamics.com. The wiring was unintimidating. My reason for fitting it to the topcase was to have it as high as possible and hopefully more visible to the drivers of following vehicles. The unit has worked as intended to this day. The topcase is permanently fitted to the scooter as opposed to being quickly detachable. I have heard of QD topcases becoming unintentionally detached from their mountings. I use a soft bag inside the topcase that is easily removed when touring. I would like to fit the same brakelight to my new-to-me 2004 Silver Wing. It has two brake lights with separate wiring to each. Is it OKAY to attach the Knight Rider wires to one set of the Silver Wing wires?

I fitted an Admore Light Bar on my first Silverwing.
It was connected to the rear wiring harness on the left-hand side using a connector made by a former member.
The most difficult part was getting the panel off!
I can't speak for the Custon Dynamics lights but the Admore one didn't cause any problems.
There are pictures in my album in the Gallery here:

Hi All.

You can now buy Stop/Tail LED bulbs that flash 5 times before staying on constant on the brake lights.
Because the Swing uses 2 stop/tail bulbs they are highly visible. So what's good enough for a Ferrari is good enough for a Swing in my opinion.

Food for thought.

I believe in the US, the lights can’t flash continuously (they can flash and then decay to steady on), so on my 2 STs, I have Kisan Tailblazers for the tail lights and on the trunk I have an LED flasher module. On the SWing, I have the ability to use the trunk with the flasher and on the back above the main tail lights, I installed a cheap eBay light bar with the LED flasher. I want to be seen from behind as you do. I agree that LED tail lights are a must, especially if they’re going to be flashing.

Here’s the module: https://www.superbrightleds.com/brake-light-strobe-module-brake-light-strobe-module

I have the Admore light kit in the trunk (Givi E52) and have the above LED flasher in this.
