| I noticed on my new to me Swing, there is a gap between the tail area panels on the boot..toward the back. I’m wondering if if this will allow moisture when riding in wet weather, and how to seal it…tape?

| These are looking down and aft in the boot, under seat. |

| Hi Hop It would appear that your Swing has lost a couple of inner covers. Lid, R, Bulb Maintenance 81296MCT000. Lid, L, Bulb Maintenance 81297MCT000. The Left one in the picture. The Right one in the picture. Hope this helps |

| Correct. I removed them to see what was there…which is when I saw the gaps. So the same question remains, should these be sealed? |

| Hi Hop.
I think if they (gaps) were meant to be sealed Honda would have mentioned it in the owner's guide and the workshop manual. Perfect place to stash your recreational. Personally, I have never found anything wet under seat, I learnt years ago if it can get wet it will so all cargo gets a plastic bag anyway. |

| I agree with the above. Not likely to be a problem, but if it bothers you I suppose tape (or better yet) Alien tape would seal it and be easily removable. I will take a look at mine and see if there are gaps...
