| Has anyone found a road legal (below 80db) after market muffler? All the ones I have found are too loud for the UK. Loath to pay 700 pounds for the heavy factory one. |

| Maybe a Delkevic with the extended baffle (it’s an extra $32 US)? Mine is a little quieter with it in, but I don’t have a dB test to say with certainty. |

| What's with this muffler nonsense, you’re in the UK and after a replacement silencer. Over here a muffler is a scarf wrapped round your neck.

| Erdoc48; Do you have any further info on that extended baffle? A link to a source would be ideal. TIA.

No UK manufacturers plus more non-UK members use the site than UK members. Just using the language they understand! |

Ron in AZ/USA https://delkevic.com/quieter-baffle-for-14-18-oval-and-tri-oval-mufflers/ It lowers the dB by 1-3 dB which doesn’t sound like much but on my SWing, it is noticeably quieter (just a little louder than stock, but not intrusive noise). Burbles gently on deceleration from time to time. It’s quieter as it’s longer I guess so buffers the sound better. It was worth the $32, to me at least. |
