| Howdy. Out of Oklahoma, the cultural center of the universe (Hoyt Axton).
2003 beautiful red silverwing, Givi Windscreen, Givi Flow topbox, mirror extenders, battery keeper. I did sand the chrome muffler protector and covered with vinyl wrap. Which looks good for a walk around, but not an inspection.
She’s been knocked over once, by me, backing my truck into her—hence the marred muffler chromed plastic thing. Mebe 5600 miles—purchased new by a buddy who bought her as a retirement thing—and I should be retiring. Rode a Honda Aero 80 back in the day, and a shaft driven Suzuki pre kids.
Oklahoma has sociopathic wind. The one long trip I attempted I wussed out on—could have hacked the 40-45°f, but the 35 mph winds with the 45mph gusts sorta freaked me out and turned around the second time I changed lanes without having decided to.
Fixing to do the filters and oil, seriously contemplating plugs. Going to be shopping tires soonly. Somewhat compulsively shopping cams and a larger top box. Contemplating the difference betwixt maintenance of short time-high mileage like my bride’s commuter vs long time-low mileage, like a 20-y-o scooter with less than 6K miles. Delighted to meet you. |

| Welcome to the crew Muskrat!! I'm also out of Oklahoma and definitely know of the the wind gusts you write of. Spent most of the last two weeks riding and definitely got moved around quite a bit.
I don't believe there are many SW's in OK. If I see a red one in/around the Tulsa and surrounding area, maybe it'll be you. Good day. |

| Welcome Muskrat to the BEST SWing forum on the net. Lots of info here with people ready and willing to help. The "Search" box at the upper left is also your friend. I have a 2008 SWing that I had converted over to a trike about 5 years ago with no regrets. It's a Motor Trike kit which cost me around $8 grand total. |
