| Just wanted to update everyone on how incredible the Swing is! Took ours out for a day trip from England to Wales, about 350 miles and it's just amazing. Couldn't ask for anything more and we think it's the ultimate tourer bike! Does anyone know or can recommend any maxi scooter ride outs in the UK? Here are some pics! |

| We do few up here in the northeast over the summer. Sometimes we venture south into North Yorkshire, but usually it's the Durham Dales, Northumberland and if I'm feeling keen over to Lindisfarne or the Scottish Borders. Anywhere with cafes and not much traffic. If you're planning to be up this way let me know and we'll try and do something while you're here. |

| Great pictures of a most scenic place. Back in 1994 my wife and I visited Blackpool with a group from Halifax area of Nova Scotia for the Ballroom Dance Festival that year. A great time was had !! We took different tours and played the tourists ...which we were. One tour was to Chester and I understood at that time Chester is in Wales. Somewhere someone since has told me Chester is in England and not a walled city of Wales at all. Could someone straighten me out on that? Wherever it is, it is a neat place. We also had another tour to the Lake District .... another very scenic area.
Guess I'm long due for a return visit.

| Chester is quite close to the Anglo-Welsh border but is definitely in England. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chester Incidentally, I omitted to say how good the photos of the trip are. |

| Thanks for that info and the link Mike. I have been thinking I was to Chester in Wales ...since 1994.
Chester in Nova Scotia is a neat place too but not as historic a place as Chester in England. There are a couple of web cams showing the yacht club and golf course. Each year Chester Race Week is held at the yacht club and is quite the draw for the sailing sect.

and
I just found the Chester Yacht Club camera is not working.

The more I learn about UK the less I know. |

It's only the last two years of covid restrictions that have compelled them to explore their own country a little more. |

| It's interesting that in my experience the vast majority of riders heading into Cumbria and the Lakes from out of the county head for the same old places where bikers have always congregated. Hartside Top cafe before it burned down a few years ago, and of course Devil’s Bridge at Kirby Lonsdale. Maybe the Tan Hil Inn up in the Pennines for it's remoteness
Or it's wandering round the popular tourist towns Keswick, Ambleside, and Windermere. A few will tackle the severe gradients of Hardknott and Wrynose Passes solely for the bragging right, and that's about it. |

So where would Meldrew’s Marvelous Mystery Tour have us ride then? |
