Hello from Denmark

Hello all,

Thanks for accepting me joining this fine forum.

I was born in 1960 in DK. Took my MC license back in 1981 but didn't really get on two wheels until 2009. Since then I have owned a BMW R80RT 1984 vintage. Loved it and never froze my feet... Replaced in 2011 by a BMW K1200 GT. In 2014 I had to outlive the dream and bought a 2003 Harley Davidson Road King Classic.

After a bypass surgery I went quiet - sold the HD. Now back on two wheels having just acquired a 2004 SW with 57000 KM on the clock. So very different but really like it.

Planning on using the SW for pretty much everything. Selling one of the cars and leaving the keys to the other car to my wife.

Will spend the winter getting to know every bit of the SW and replace/update the odd part here and there. Come Spring 2022 I want to join a local Maxi Scooter community with the view to be touring with some of the other members.

Professionally I have a background as a banker - predominantly working with companies in trouble or distress. In my time as a banker I have had the privilege to work in four different countries (other Denmark I have also worked in UK, Luxembourg and the Faroe Islands).

The past 12y I have been involved in sourcing financing for an aircraft leasing company. Been terrific until COVID hit. Now finding myself working for a company in distress and at the mercy of the company's lenders. Kind of a full circle, I guess. Likely outcome is me going into retirement thus allowing me even more time to ride.

Really looking forward to continuing reading the many valuable input on this forum and hopefully also one day have some relevant info to share with you all.

Tip o’th Day: Add a mudflap to the front fender. That’ll keep the crud from clogging the radiator fins.
