| Hello everybody, I would like to say Hello, My name is Jay. I am from Indianapolis, Indiana and I just bought a 2002 burgundy Swing with no mods (yet). My other scoot is a 2006 yellow Reflex I did the Big Ruckus mod on in June 2020. I have had it for about 10 years ( I love that thing for the city). I am hoping I like the Swing as much or more then the Reflex. https://www.silverwing600.com/users/3413/63/00/33/smiles/383825.jpg |

| Hello Jay. Welcome to the forum.
Not to hijack your introduction but…
Hey, when you mention doing a BR mod to a Reflex does that mean that you swapped the entire Reflex variator for an entire BR variator? Curious minds want to know. |

| Cosmic_Jumper to answer your question. The Big Ruckus mod for the Reflex is changing out the B face of the variator. On the Reflex there are 2 ramp profiles and on the BR there is only 1 ramp profiles. So I changed the face B and put in Dr Pulley 21 gram sliders and no more dead spot between 20 and 40 mph. With the new sliders it made for better acceleration and lowered my rpm's at 70 mph (6500 rpm's at 70 mph). Really changed the scooter. Much more fun to ride. |
