I have a 2006 with ABS that I bought brand new with 2 miles on it in 2007. I really wanted the 2007 body color but with the money I saved because the dealer had a hard time selling it and just wanted it gone from his inventory, I ended up replacing the dark blue body panels with the 2007 blueish silver panels.
Absolutely love this bike 14 years later. I was 42 when I bought it and all of my riding buddies who I toured with were riding liter bikes. I have never had a problem keeping up with anybody and learned very quickly after taking delivery that this bike handles quite well despite the size and smaller tires. Absolutely love this bike. Have done several 1000 plus mile trips. And the last long trip (1800 miles) I took in 2018, did 2 up with my wife and she loved it and never complained. In 14+ years of ownership the Silverwing has been super reliable and I have done all my own maintenance using the shop manual. I have 33,000 miles on it and hope to put many more miles on it.

That's unfortunate. I think he and I would have a great time riding together cheers guitarist

Hey Skidders, yes unfortunately I am in the San Francisco Bay Area. I was just reading the post and wanted to comment since our scoots are identical. I do have lots of family in the Houston TX area though since my mom is from just outside of Houston. We have some pretty awesome roads here in the Bay Area and with this damn drought we are having in California, the riding is pretty much year round. I was able to score a set of the genuine Honda accessory side visors from England and a custom tunnel bag designed by a SilverWing enthusiast but otherwise even with 32,000+ miles, mine is equally as clean. It is an outstanding scoot and the engine and components are pretty much bulletproof in my experience. I will post a pic of my scoot if I can figure out how to do so.

Maybe an Admin could move this post to where it belongs.

Done!
