Hello scooter folks

 Hello Guys,...
Hopefully I'm not acting prematurely here... I am not yet a SWING owner but have a friend that has one and is thinking of selling it to me as he hasn't ridden it in a couple of years.

I am a Gold Wing owner/rider from Michigan and a snow-bird to the Palm Bay area of Florida in the winter. Hence, why I hope to become a SWING owner. I can no longer tow my GW down to FL every year and I miss Riding in the several months I am here.

I am a Darksider on the GoldWing for the last 13 years so it makes sense that I'd go to the Darkside with the SWING, doncha think? The CT I have been using on my GW is a little narrower that the one most GW Darksiders use. I used a 175 vs the 195 most Gold Wingers use. The car-tire I assume most use on the Swing I believe is a 175-70R13. Since I use a 175 on the GoldWing I know how wide it is and I'm thinking it a little wider than I'd like for a scooter. Anyone have another favorite that might be a little narrower?

I hope to become a SWING owner and maybe meet up with some other owners for coffee and Rides in the winter.

Yes, I agree, I know there are naysayers on the GW forum to,... maybe not as many as here though. I'm sold on them with well over 150K miles on them with my preference being a narrower tire. To each his own. Since there is a 'Darksider Section' here too I'm thinking this will be the last mention outside that part of this forum.

Welcome, Larry and good luck with the Silver Wing search. I sold my 2005 Goldwing and am very happy with the Silver Wing!

I think you will find the SilverWing works much better with tires that are designed for it!
