| Hello everyone. Having sold every "bike" I have owned due to lack of use, but then itching to be back on two wheels afterwards, I have decided to go for a nice luxury scooter. I have just purchased a 2013 FJS600A with 13K on the clock. Baptism of fire riding it back home for four hours in 50mph+ winds - it never faltered. Looking forward to hopefully getting what will be much needed advice from seasoned owners |

| Hello Dave from Santa Barbara California where we ride 11 and a half months of the year. haha. The first thing you may want to try, that all of us who have tried will tell you is, driving with winds like that is even more fun, if you have a fantastic Givi AF214 windshield. BUT! make sure to check every time you are going on a long ride, to check the locking mechanism it tight. I was hit in the face shield when mine came off doing 70mph. |

| To be honest, I am very much a fair weather rider - jealous of your Californian weather too. This was just a journey to get it home - doubt I’ll ride in that kind of wind again. |

| Hi Davetech and welcome to the BEST SWing forum on the net in this Solar System. I've heard that the Corellian System has a better SWing forum but I haven't confirmed that yet.
Lots of info here if you plan on doing most of the work yourself.
I'm pretty much a fair weather rider also. If it's raining the SWing stays in the garage. It's not that I mind getting wet so much but my SWing told me it doesn't like getting wet and would rather take a nap during storms. YUP! That's what she told me. |

| Yep. Already caught out... again. Daughter bugging me to go on the back, so went for a ride - trusting our infamous Met Office and their Kray supercomputer when they said it wouldn't rain - it did; but I must admit, I've never been so dry and comfortable riding through the rain :-) |

| I tried riding in an after rain. The road was wet and I was new to my swing. A big truck stopped in front of me and I was ALMOST TO CLOSE. Not having ABS I slid a bit but did not lose complete control. That was an eye-opener and the last time I ever road in that type of weather. |
