| Hi all,
I just got a year '12 with 13,600 on it. I've just briefly done a few searches here so far. Big thanks to you all for the wealth of knowledge on this forum! I'm going to pop a few newb-type posts up shortly. Glad to hear from you all. |

| I got it, I got, LOL.
I'm damn-near AARP-qualifed and back into riding after a 12yr-hiatus. I was a single-dad, and decided I had to wait until the pup was weaned before I took on the risk of riding again, LOL.
Years ago, I spent a baker's-dozen years IN the powersports business, all on the sales and management end. My first two-wheeler eons ago was the old Yamaha Riva 125. Then, Momma agreed to let me have a mo-mo cycle, and I went onto a Honda Pacific Coast. The 2nd old-ride was a first gen Kaw Concourse, aka...poor man's BMW. The last ride WAS a BMW, an R1150R boxer. Nothing but engine and wheels, but I did have a set of OEM bags on it. Then, the court ruled in my favor...and I sold her off.
In those last few years of that line-of -work, I became fond of what I'd seen in regards to maxi-scooters. The Majesty was the top Yam, and I had yet to see a Tmax. Big Burgers were all the rage with the Gold-Wing crowd wanting something light. I'd only seen a SWing once or twice, in passing. But...the seed was planted. I felt that when the time came round, I'd likely be getting some sort of maxi.
Several mos ago, I went on the hunt for a C650GT. I thought I'd found THEE bike, but the seller was a real flake. Then one day, I saw a TMax come up for sale near me. KNowing what I know, I thought to myself, if thing fits....I am riding it home. It did, and I did. It handles like you've heard, and really lacks only two things....storage, and and ABS.
Say what you will, but I'm a nerd for ABS. So, I saw the SWing at one of the stores of my old employer. I rode over to check it out, and ended up making a deal. But, since I had to ride back home, I arranged for them to deliver it this Wed. Has the Givi trunk already on it, also.
Whew!
