A Sad Day For Me And My Family

I got a call from Bob, my brother in law in FL earlier today, telling me that my sister, JoAnn passed away around 2 pm today. She's been battling cancer for a while but came down with pneumonia which weakened her body's defenses enough to where it couldn't fight anymore. If there's a good point to this at least she's not suffering any longer.
Her funeral will be in about a week at Pensacola Naval Air Station with full Military Honors.
She is now in God's Hands. Rest In Peace JoAnn!

I’m very sorry to hear of your sister’s passing, Dale. I hope that you will find comfort in the support of your family and friends.

Full military honors are quite an honor. I have a couple of family members who were buried in Arlington with full military honors. It is a humbling experience.

Thanks Tim. JoAnn was 79. At least now she's not suffering anymore. She's been fighting the cancer for a few years and was doing pretty good until the pneumonia got her. Then her body's defenses pretty much quit and the cancer spread.
Her and Bob are going to have a common grave with writing on both sides of the tombstone.

No. My sisters would have to find a place to board their dogs and they can't really afford it.
Also, I can't afford it with a few unexpected expenses I've had lately.
I talked to Bob and he was OK with that.

An update: The funeral is tomorrow (12-18) which wouldn't have given us enough time to get there. The Rabbi who would have presided over the service is out of the country so the one who is going to give the service has to leave the day after. Scheduling was sort of a rush.
