I decided I’d go after that pita windshield one more time. The aluminum plate was so far off, the Batwing would not go back on. I had to saw off areas of interference and bend other areas of interference. I probably have 5 hrs into this including a Batwing fix, but it’s on.Not Giving Up 6c6a5110

Looks good. Any chance you could post a couple pictures of the scooter from a side and rear angle?

Here's some more pics and my 25 mile test ride findings. In the pics you can see how it looks and full back and full forward positions. Close up of the cowling shows how the alum plate does not match contour of batwing. I couldn't use the rubber seal strip. But the test ride proved impressive. I've been using the tall one piece GIVI for about 3 years. The first difference I noticed is there is now some light wind on my face. I usually ride with my face shield up. It was a cold day here and I still left my face shield up and it was no problem. The wind on my back is completely gone. I tried all positions and settled on halfway between all the way back (top of screen towards me) and middle position. It seems quieter. You can run your hand all around the screen at speed and notice the wind coming off screen is not as violent as the GIVI. My hands were definitely colder. The wind coming in under the screen and thru vent goes straight up back of screen mostly missing my helmet. Here's the shocking part, the front seems to ride softer. This is just my thoughts, but maybe the GIVI with it's hand deflectors, is compressing the front suspension at highway speeds using up some of the soft coils of the springs making it ride stiffer. Honda didn't design the front springs with the idea of bolting a giant wing on the front. I'm interested to see if my MPG goes up any. Not Giving Up Dscn3013

So for now I'm leaving it on. It's different, but it works.

Even more pics. This is the tallest screen Madstad makes for the SW. I'm 6'2"tall. I barley look over top of screen. If you're shorter than me, I would get the shorter version. The Madstad order form is pretty accurate. Not Giving Up Dscn3115

The project looks very nice ,so now I want one. Now i'm adding a Plexiglas sheet over my Honda windshield to raise the height about three inches and it does cut down on helmet buffeting.

Very nice. Many hours and patience involved . Height and angle adjustable good for the seasons more flow or more protection.

Design would work for almost any windshield. Cool thumbs up
