| Greetings All and thanks for the add. I've just become the owner of a 2003 S-Wing that was NOT shown proper love by the PO. Runs fine but has wiring issues. I'm in the SW TN area, I've just turned 70 and currently also have a 2000 Helix and a CX 500 in my stable, married to the love of my life (but doesn't want to ride, oh well), enjoy recreational shooting and I'm always looking for an excuse to hop on a two-wheel for an errand. |

| To Cosmic_Jumper: The PO apparently thought they knew something about electricity and tried to add extra lights. Some of the wires in the tail have been cut and the ends twisted together or wirenutted. I’ve already pulled out a handful of wires that go nowhere. And I’m going to be spending time w a soldering iron and some shrink tubing. |

Long shot guess here but the PO likely had wired a top case with lights. Likely kept the top case and decided to leave the rat's nest for the next owner ... that'd be you. |

| Welcome and enjoy new ride. Taillight harness is not that difficult to remove. Check on EBAY might fine one cheap and not have to repair anything. |

| Welcome Dusty from Tucson,AZ the oven state. I'm sure you'll get the wiring figured out if you have some electrical skills, A service manual will be of great assistance -good luck. |

| Dusty, Helm Inc reprints Honda service manuals and owners manuals for the Silverwing. Right now they are out of stock with the service manual but are supposed to have more soon. Good idea if anyone wants a service manual to keep a look out at Helm by selecting the service manual and getting on the list to have them notify you when they are in stock again.
The more people we can get on the list the sooner they're likely to make another printing of it. If anyone is just thinking about a manual it might be a good idea to get on the list because with no new Silverwings in the US they might quit printing the manuals for them.
Their manuals are copies of the original Honda shop manual, they are licensed from Honda to make reprints. |

| Thanks for the post Max Q. I'd seen it before and forgot it. Old age and dementia. You have to be demented to ride two wheel machines among the semi's (that's a large diesel lorry with semi-trailer to you, Meldrew). They often throw up muck (known as mud on the Eastern side of the Atlantic). The stuff thrown up by large trucks carrying livestock during heavy rain is known as something else. |
