| Hello all,
I’ve just acquired a 2005 600-2 with 56k miles in beautiful condition. It’s not my first ‘wing, I used to have a 400 version but the 600 is much better.
I do have a question. The bike has a Delkevic exhaust fitted. There is a flat spot on opening the throttle quickly & it backfires on the over-run. Would fitting a standard silencer be a good idea & would it be beneficial for fuel consumption?
Thanks. |

| Hello Mick_P. Welcome to the forum.
So if your question is 'if I return my Silverwing to it's stock form will it help me sort out the problems I'm having'? I'd say the answer to that is, yes.
You might try disconnecting the PAIR valve in the interim though.
Perhaps another member here has experience with a Delevic and will chime in with their own experience.

| Welcome Mick_P That's interesting as I am looking to get a "Delkevic exhaust", may hold up a while to see if any good response to Mick's Question. |

| Hi Mike_P and Welcome to the Best SWing site on the net. I'm sure someone can come up with either a solution or point you in the right direction for a fix.
The muffler on my 08 is stock so I'm not much help. I hope you find a solution. |
