| Hello (yiasou) from Cheltenham, PA, just outside of Philly.
Moved to PA from NY in 2015 after living at Upstate NY for 30 years. Still miss the Hudson Valley area. Anyway, I'm a Greek-American and I sometimes ride a salvaged 2002 SWing with 30K on it. I bought it wrecked and non-running and I have managed to rebuild it and making it worth riding it again. It took me about 6 months working on it mostly on weekends. I collected mostly used parts for it. It's been a great learning experience...
I'm very new to scooters and riding so I'm here to learn, educate myself and meet interesting riders.

Thanks to all for your good wishes.... I'm an older guy and I have NEVER owned any kind of motorcycle or scooter before this 02 Silverwing came along. As a matter of fact I don't even have a motorcycle license! In NY state (where I lived before moving to PA), no bike license is required to ride a scooter. Not sure about NYC or Philly but lived outside of the big cities where there's plenty of open road and hardly any traffic. So to answer your question, no I have never worked on a bike/scooter before but since I'm a car-guy I've gotten my hands greasy before by working on my cars. So I do know the basics when it comes to tune up and maintenance. |
