Another ride and rider down.

100 + miles on Friday, 70 today saw a lot of animals but the saddest was coming upon the accident. A rider took a dresser HD straight in a mild left corner he was sitting up as I slowed and his friends were already to him. I stopped but one of his friends gave me the thumbs up. By the time I rode another mile or so the Squad and then a fire truck and state patrol were well on the way.
I didn't notice any loose gravel in or at the turn so I'm not sure why it happened.

There was a Harley rider killed in this area last week. He apparently got into the gravel on the shoulder of a curve, went off the road and hit a tree. I haven't heard whether it was due to excess speed or what they think caused the accident.

Gravel USED to be CONSISTENTLY on my mind in these mountains....since my trike conversion....no more worries

Accidents are never good reminds us of what could happen. I've came across 2 and its never good.

First one Harley and passenger head on with a car. He was dead medics were working with her don't know the outcome.
Second a lady hit guardrail and flew over into a ditch. She was just coming to and in a lot of pain. I could see her left leg was broken below the knee. We just tried to calm her until helped arrived.
