| Hi all. New member here and new owner of a 2012, Silverwing, which has 23k miles on it and has a few dinks and scratches from living a hard life in the centre of London, I suspect. I have never owned a scooter style before, having been a Goldwing rider for some 40 years now. I have an 1800 Wing in the stable, plus a well used and abused ST1100 Pan European. Bought the Silverwing on a whim and hopefully will enjoy the ride. Off to read up on the forum here and start educating myself on what I have bought!! Lol.

| Just ridden it the once so far and only about a mile to the local garage to fill up with fuel. I thought something had gone wrong with the pump as I was only able to put £12.50 worth of petrol in, but apparently that is all an Swing seems to want!! Lol. I think I am going to enjoy using it as a local run about and who knows, I might get addicted. I do like the riding position, especially in the feet forward stance. Not so sure about with my feet further back, as it felt a bit like my legs were too folded, but time will tell. |

| Holds a little over 4 gallons when last bar starts flashing still has a gallon plus left. Feet forward is the best way. Butt rest can be converted into a backrest LIKE the forum photo . Much more room like that.
Its easy to 2-300 mile days on SW. It's different. Enjoy. |

| Welcome Foxy to the BEST SWing site on the net. I believe the gas tank holds 4.3 gallons of gas. Lots of info here with people ready and willing to help. If you can't find what you're looking for just ask. I have an 08 SWing that I had converted to a trike over the winter and really like it. I've got just over 30,000 miles on mine and it's still running great. |

| Interested in the mention of the butt stop being converted into a back rest Mech 1twa. is that something that requires work to do, or is it something that is already built into the seat? I appreciate that this is only an introduction thread, so a link to any discussion about it will do, no need for a full explanation here. Dale N, is the trike kit you have, one you built, or is it a bought one? |

| It's a bought one from Motor Trike Corp. It's a GT3 kit. Total cost was about $8,000 for building, shipping and install. |

| They say it's a dealer install only and won't sell to individuals. They must dealers on their site that do the installs. Just put in your zip code. |

We have very limited options here in the UK for trike conversion companies. About the only one from your side of the pond is CSC, the favoured one for Goldwing conversions. Lehman is another that you may know, we get those over here too. They are mostly imported trike kits that the manufacturer then allocate to a specific dealership to fit for customers here. |

| Conversion requires a metal bracket.. Seller on EBAY . $50 plus shipping. ezntexas. Search SW backrest kit. US seller. Best thing I ever bought for more leg room.
Bolts on and no modifications are needed. It can be removed and returned back to original. |
