| I bought a Honda Interstate two years ago and have 4K on it but it's a lot harder to be safe in Saint Petersburg traffic. So I have 14,783 miles on my 2012 Silverwing and ride it daily. It handles so good especially since I put those Pirelli Diablo tires on it which now have 6000 miles on them and are becoming flattened in the middle so I guess I will replace them soon with the same unless there is something better. I did replace the battery a few months ago just for good measure but this is all I have done except lots of oil and filter changes. What a bike. |

| Diablos are a good, sticky, tire. Especially good for wet conditions. Our Mr Grinsel swears by Bridgestones for long wear. You can certainly use the Search function (above) to find many discussions about tires.
Glad to hear that you are enjoying your Silverwing.

| Mr Grinsel says Michelin Power Pure SC work best on rear.....they wear round, Got 10,000 miles out of them more than once. Bridgestone suck---scooters had one Helix rear come apart in Japan, at least 2 rears on new Reflex in US...lost some tread. Bridgestone Hoops were OEM and Honda recommended on my new 2009 SilverWing---they wore out soon and wore square in rear.
Pirelli Diablo, proper size did not work well on second Burgman 400, funny feeling on groves.
My experience with SilverWing tires nearly 100,000 miles on 2 purchased new SilverWings. |

| Looks like I will go Michelin pure power SC next! Thanks for the advice from your years of experience and wisdom. |

| I am still using the original IRC's with 13k miles. Need to get new ones soon. I think that I will be going with IRC's. |

Good info to remember when I go to replace. Also, you must be light on seat and easy on acceleration. Any tips on getting that kind of mileage? Thanks. |

| I don't know how some of you get such great tire life ???
2013 SW IRC rear uneven wear on rear. Front so noisy in turns sounds like bad wheel bearings even with ear plugs. IRC are cheaper at dealer than on line stores. FYI.
Mich. Pure Power at wear bars 5400 miles rear front doing Ok at 4500. Mich. do wear evenly though. Mounted a new PP tonight. I think winter is almost over its been a long snowy one. Only 120 miles so far this year.
SW is good for hotter days than some other bikes. NO heat form radiator coming through and good airflow around rider. SW is my go to bike a lot more. |

Thanks. Yes I am light on the seat. I weigh 150 when completely wet. Most of my driving is done on highways. Avg speed is 60mph. I do accelerate fast, but not racing fast. I always watch the traffic flow and use the engine brake to do most deceleration. My front tires do sound like bad bearings when in a tight turn. I feel it is because my tires need replacing soon. |
