| Hello All, Just purchased a 2009 Silverwing but not new to riding. Just new to getting old. I have a Valkyrie trike and a Suzuki Intruder but feel it's time to try a scooter. Got in about a hundred mile ride yesterday and love it. Amazed at the smooth ride and power. I'm a 77 year old Iron Butt lung cancer survivor. Not ready to quit riding for a few more years.  |

| Thanks for the Welcomes. Got in a good ride yesterday. Takes a little getting use to not having a foot brake or gears to shift. I have to remind myself the left lever is not a clutch. |

| Welcome, Wayne. You've been through a lot, but the Swing will carry you for many good years ahead. Enjoy. Keep riding as long as you can. The theme for many of us here is that the Swing is such a surprisingly comfortable two-wheeler, so comfortable to me at first compared to my previous MCs that I at first had a temporary tendency to forget to put my foot down at a stop, thinking I was driving a comfortable car. But two instances just today from idiot drivers have kept me honest and alert, reminding me that as comfortable as this ride is, it's still a motorcycle with all vulnerabilities attached.
