| I think my 2007 Silverwing is still on its original battery and ( and belt 10K ).
Going to look in at the battery tomorow time allowing and I think get a new one.
Can I just ask is the original one a Yuasa please ?
Also any suggestions for cold cranking/amps etc please would be handy too.
Many Thanks SWD. |

| Not sure about the Yuasa but I sure like my Lithium Ion, a fellow on here suggested it, $99 US delivered from Amazon. I did get almost 7 years out of a Yuasa on one of my G'Wings. |

| The original battery is a Yuasa YTZ12. If you want to stick with Yuasa, you can upgrade to the YTZ14 for a little more power. Its the same physical size. For lithium batteries see my post here to understand what is available and why you would use them: https://www.silverwing600.com/t10086-shorai-batteriesThere are other brands that may be available in the UK as well. | Hi Thats it then for me Bern, looks great and in the UK too.
10 years is enough even on a Yuasa.
The starting is getting, not sluggish as such but, just not quite there sort of thing.
Ordering one when I can find another.
Many Thanks People.

| Halford's list them -it's where I bought mine.
My dealer supplied different make and although it was supposed to be the same it was a very tight fit and not nice!

| I swapped my seven year old Yuasa today for the Motobatt battery that's sat on my garage shelf since last year. As I also have a Motobatt Fat Boy charger I'll be now be using it instead of my Optimate.
I'll still give the Yuasa the occasional top up with the Optimate and probably put it back in the Silver Wing when I sell it. |

| I've had great luck with Odyssey batteries. Not cheap but I don't know how long they last because I never wore one out. They sure will crank a six cylinder Goldwing with verve and vigor. They even make some to MILSPEC. Though those models are expensive and certainly overkill. |

| Well I`m hoping this Leoch one with 230 C Cranking will be good and looks as if it will fit.
Also the amps are right on the new one.
The starting just felt a little less that expected.
