Hello, I am a new Silverwing owner. Looks like this forum is a great place to see what other owners are doing and to get info. Looking forward to years of riding my 2012 Silverwing. I think it's kind of sad there is no 2017 model though. Makes no sense to me. I have owned a 1985 700 Magna since 1987 and just looking for more comfort and less shifting.

Welcome! We just don't have the numbers for them to import new one's I guess. Too many people want the "coolness factor" in other bikes. In my small community, I see my Harley Davidson dealer was training another 10 or so new riders in their parking lot. They seem to do this every weekend. The thing I do like about the Silverwing, Burgs and the like, we're not a "Me too" rider. Our rides are unique, in that not a lot of people have them.

Hello Ewrightman. Welcome to the forum. Thank you for your introduction.

Since there have been so few changes to the Silverwing since it was introducted in 2001, and maxi scooter market in North America never developed, there was little sense in continuing production. With their more robust scooter market Europe and Asia do have the newer style Silverwing though.

I'm sure you'll enjoy your new ride.

Tim
