| Hello! I've owned my 09 Silverwing for a few months and have had a blast touring around on it. I really do think it is a special piece of engineering. I bought it because the weather here in Manitoba is really... continental? The weather varies a lot and the summers are short and I wanted something fuel injected that'll start in cool weather and has good wind protection, so I bought a Silverwing to get the most out of the riding season. I was considering buying a dual sport or an adventure bike but I couldn't get past the cheap insurance on the Swing -- more than half the price. I can buy fuel all summer with the difference So I've been trying to toughen up the look of the scoot but all I have so far is a pelican case bolted to the rack. I've ordered some Dr. Pulley sliders and can't wait to try those out before the snow flies. Nice forum! Thanks for letting me join! I enjoy your collected expertise and sense of humour! - Attachments

| Welcome to the best SWing site on the net can_sky! Lots of people here ready and willing to help. Also plenty of information on how to do most of the maintenance on your SWing on your own. |

| Hello Can Sky. Welcome to the forum.
Assuming that you'll need to order them from a US source, I'm really curious about how much $CDN the Dr Pulley Sliders will cost by the time you get them in your hands.

| Greetings fellow Canuck.
I just my scooter a month ago.
I have been looking at the sliders shipping from Taiwan. They will take a bit longer to arrive. They are about $72 CND shipped. sliders

| Thanks that info Reg. Those 26gm Sliders are the way to go. Looks like you have a bit of a fall project at hand. Hopefully they'll arrive soon while you still have a few riding days left to try them out before you tuck the scoot in for a long winter's nap.

| Hello can-sky and welcome to the forum. You're dead right about the Silverwing being a special bit of engineering. The design seems to provide lots of capability without too much over complication.
Enjoy your riding and keep safe. |

| To answer your question Cosmic Jumper: I ordered the sliders for around $94.00 Canadian pesos. The exchange rate isn't very favourable right now but it'll do.
Hi Reg: I think you found a pretty great price! I went for the 24 gram ones and hope they work alright without too many belt or clutch issues. |
