Finally bought my first SW-T!!!

Hi everyone!
Excited to let you know I bought my first silverwing today.
And although I was strongly heading towards an swt400 lately, this lovely swt600 came up: year 2012, hardly 3000 miles, 5500$.
Test drive, visit, another visit.. Couldn't resist. 
The dealer told me it would probably be my last SW-T too. This one will hopefully give me pleasure for years to come and by the time I will need a replacement, there might not be many wings left!
With all the help i got on this side regarding top upgrades..i can spend my waiting time (10 days) now making a list of things to get...to make it even better!

Wow. Looks really nice. Congrats on your new SWing. I wonder why they don't ship this SWing to the states. I hear they get a bit better mpg's and have a few other differences than the older SWing. Hope you enjoy it.

Not sent to states....simple answer=big scooter market is DEAD here.

I forgot to mention the reason why the owner sold his swt 600.
The man (72 yrs) thought the swt was "a bit simple and too slow" and went back to what he had been driving most of his life...a Gold Wing.

I am envious. What a nice looking bike !!! It doesn't look like it needs anything to be done ! Ride it good and hard and if things need modifying or improving you will know from your own experience. If it doesn't need fixing put that money in gas and give it to her!!!

i wonder if the twin headlights dip the 'wrong way', that is they dip to the right, then there is no way to do a grey as you wouldnt be able to get a correct dipping light in uk. Has anyone brought one in from Europe before and been able to MOT it ? Does the speedo have kmh and mph on it ?

This is a picture of the dashboard (not the one i bought but another swt600 of another dealer).
So no mph on the European models. I think Honda only supplied the second generation sw-t's for the Asian and European markets. That's what a Honda guy told me anyway at motor show this year.

looks like another snub for the uk market from mother honda, i think the older ones have mph and kmh (kmh on inside) surprised that there is no external temperature in the odometer display or am i missing something ? do like that you can see total mileage and trip at same time on uk versions you get the choice of one or the other. Does look good though, am in spain for 2 weeks at beginning of may so will try and research this model. Thanks for the photo

This is a better close up. 
You still have to make the choice between trip or total mileage, but there's a handy petrol consumption display as well. That is "liter per 100km" over here. When standing still, it shows your average consumption.

I like the analog temperature and fuel gauge, I think they are easier to read in any light.
