PostSubject: Kappa KAF214 Windshield Install   Wed 16 Dec 2015, 10:18

I've finally been able to get a few 100 miles in my "new to me" SWing. One thing I noticed is that the stock windshield is pretty useless so I wanted to change that out. After asking for advice most everyone praised the Givi Airflow. A bit more reading here and I found out that the Kappa KAF214 is the same windshield. I was able to locate a seller on eBay from Italy that had them for $159 including shipping. I had purchased a Givi topcase from Italy before and had no problem so I decided to go for it.

I got it yesterday and it took 13 days to get here. I took on the project to install it today. Once I had the front tupperware removed it appeared that an Airflow had at one time been installed as the holes were already drilled in the tupperware. That made things go a lot easier. About 30 minutes later the Kappa KAF214 was installed. I haven't had a chance to try it out but will be able to today on my way to work.

The Kappa appears to be the same as the Givi branded windshield. The only difference is the Kappa logo instead of the Givi. I was going to post a link to the auction but searching now only shows the same screen at about $20 more.... still a decent savings over the Givi. Just search for "kappa kaf214" to find sellers.

Thanks for letting us know about the shipping time for the Kappa Windshield. Good to know.
Good luck with your new ride.

hankster..........I also have the Kappa that I bought on Ebay from the Italian seller. Mine had a little sticker at the bottom of the screen and when I peeled it off it was engraved "Patented by Givi" so just the same screen only cheaper.

Den,
Mine did too. What I am wondering is if the Kappa logo sticker was peeled off, if the Givi logo would be underneath it.
