I had a GIVI Airflow WS installed today, I am instantly a fan. A very good improvement.

I agree 100%, for me the Airflow is the best windshield available for our scooters.

I recently installed a GIVI Airflow on a friend's SW but it was a bit tall for me. Luckily my friend is 6'3" and can see over it so it's fine for him. I put a GIVI Airflow Adjustable on my last SW and really liked that one.

Is that the adjustable shield? I recently bought a used scoot with the adjustable one and I really enjoy it.

The Givi Airflow is the adjustable windshield. Here is what Givi has to say about the AF - series. "AF - series, the Airflow system offers a unique adjustable windshield that gives maximum wind protection to a wide variety of motorcycle and scooter riders. The upper adjustable windshield blade gives a 7 inch adjustment creating minimum and maximum wind protection."

Yep, you're right, the two windshields are both GIVI 214s but only one is the Airflow. The other is the GIVI 214DT. The ones I installed on my friend's SW was the 214DT. I put the Airflow on my last SW.

"Hi Yo" you did your research, you asked online and found the answer. motorcycle
It's not like you need to find one, you have one so no need to research any deeper.
I think the Airflow, Dr Pulley sliders and  Mirror Riser Extenders like these, are
must have mods.
Someone else may think it's all useless and a waste of money. I won't bring up my backrest and cup-holder I must also have. Wink

One more thing.......... I took my scooter out last night for a 110 mile ride most of it at dark and much on the freeway ( I - 10 @ 75mph posted).  The  GIVI AF WS really does work. I am tinkering with elevation, I had it a 6 inches, lowered it to 5 and think just seeing over the rim is best for silence and buffeting so soon Ill put it back to 6. I was at 85 now and then  and 75 for 50 miles. Passing some trucks, not all,  causes wind shift but it is manageable. The WS is a real improvement, btw no rear flex was noted.

Yesterday I ordered a throttlemeister heavy and will have the s wing ready for a ride. Also I visited the BMW store, no they weren't charging admission. I bought a set of ergonomically correct ( hey its BMW stuff, nothing is ordinary) hand grips. These  came on the RT about 10 years ago and they look like just the thing to help combat common hand fatigue.

Also, here is the good part, I LOOKED at their new scooter. It looks expensive! I could wallow in the apparent luxury. Such richness. Actually I considered one of these for about 30 minutes  before I bought the S wing. The BMW out the door would have been  14+ LARGE $ and no one  Shocked  can afford their extended warranty.

My Swing was a new 2011 and I bought it for 6500, about 8.2K OTD with an extended warranty. I never looked back, BMW do cost more to have worked on and as I am a total mechanical dolt I need something less extravagant i.e. Honda. Get this; HONDA kinda rhymes with FORD only you never have  to fix or repair a maintained Honda. Smile I did like the rider position on the BMW, it seems a couple inches longer in the seated position.

I was lucky when I found my 650GT used with 69 total miles. It cost me $9000 which was $2500 less than the previous owner paid. I didn't buy the extended warranty so I got the remains of the 3 year factory warranty which amounted to 32 months. I was a bit flush since I'd just sold my 2005 Goldwing 1800 but I wouldn't have been willing to part with 11 grand for a scooter or bike.
Other considerations were that I do almost all my own work on my bikes. The local BMW shop here charges $90/hr. and has a great reputation. Our Honda/Kawasaki shop here charges the same but I've had poor work done there.
I really don't think you can go wrong with bikes of the big three, Honda, Suzuki or BMW.

I have mentioned this before but will mention it again. If you want to know what your wind shield is doing, take about 5 pcs of yarn 8 inchs long and mask tape them across the top of the w/s. The yarn will stand up when you ride showing the flow of the air. We tested flow on a/c surfaces that way also.
It does work and you will be able to see what height works for you.

Let me know how this works for you. It is interesting to watch it. It will show you how the wind shield moves the air up over and depending on the placement of the yarn how it manages the air stream around the rider also.
