Following my recent accident, i have had to patch up,and paint some of my plastic panels. I thought someone might be interested to know that i found a paint that covers plastic pretty well, and is not too bad a match(well for my black panels). I used Humbrol Enamel. It is available in various colours. It's main purpose is to paint those plastic do it yourself model kits cars, and boats etc. Iam now back on the road, after fitting a new front panel, new headlight new left indicator and new mudguard, and bodgeing a few other bits. I think i have the only black Silverwing with a silver front mudguard (new black one was £114 this silver one was £35 off Ebay). Smile

Nice to hear you're back on the road mate, I spend a hour or so late this afternoon cleaning accumulated road crap off mine. Smile

Hi Meldrew, I tried to PM you but you don't accept PM. When your Givi screen (top part) was lost did you have to buy a complete new screen? both parts. I ask, because the bottom end of my Givi was broken off, i can live with it but just wondered.

Yes I don't do PM's on here any more, when I lost the Airflow top sections I was able to buy the replacements separately for about £37. I don't know about buying a replacement bottom section on it's own.

I wouldn't like this top section to jettison, apart from the obvious hazards of it hitting me like the first one did, I'd also lose the rather expensive Touratech spoiler I now have fixed to it.

You cannot buy the bottom section of the Givi airflow screen, they are made for individual bikes/scoots but the top fits all types. I wanted to replace mine when I dropped the s/wing in the garage and broke a piece of the bottom r/hand corner and all the dealers that I phoned told me the same thing. Tops you can buy bottoms you cannot.

Is it that you have an Air-Flow annnd a Touratech extender attached to that? Isn't the Givi tall enough? Aren't you looking thru the Touratech rather than over the top of it?

It's actually a Wunderlich adjustable wind deflector that I've had attatched to the top of my Airflow since last summer. ( My mistake, it's my locking sat nav cradle that's from Touratech,  and I've got other touring kit from Wüdo another German supplier) It works fine on the random setting I chose at speeds up to 90mph on autobahns and I haven't bothered to move it since, though it's infinitely adjustable for rake and can be raised or lowered.

I'm looking over the wind deflector not through it, I lowered the Airflow a few inches and that keeps more windblast off my upper body and the spoiler sorts out the turbulence at helmet height. It works in rain and mist too. I'm surprised anyone is interested in this as the Wunderlich mod on my Airflow has been listed on my Signature for months.

It's also got absolutely nothing to do with this topic either.

Signature line? That's mighty fine print, and a lot of it too, for my eyes to read.
