Spotted this today. If you plumb it in with a fuse directly to battery, you can also charge the battery via a cig lighter plug and cable from the charger.
I have the in dash OEM socket, but it is only 1 amp and charging through this or exceed the amps could be hazardous to the electronics.
I have a STD stainless steel cig. lighter socket mounted under the tupperware wired directly to the battery. It was the 1st mod done when I got the scoot. Great for the air pump.
PS I have also incorporated a main batt on/ off switch for when I do charge via the plug to prevent spikes and surges from the charger or solar panel damaging the electrics.
I have also modified the battery compartment to take the cheaper 12 volt 9 AH battery which fits my other bikes as well. The Bikes and scoot all have 50 amp anderson plugs so I only need 1 healthy battery between them. Works well and saves money on battery replacement. As my scoot sits idle for long periods it is necessary to charge the batt regularly and disconnect it as well.

Kurt,

That looks to be a great add-on, but it appears to mount on the handlebar. Where did you mount this on your SW?

This one separates from the handlebar mount and can be mounted on a flat surface. Someone was asking recently, and I remembered seeing it on a web site.
I wish one of these was available when I did all my wiring work some time ago.

Here is another site with some good products. Go to Automotive and Motordcycle field.
