| Dennis,
I got the GPS mount in the mail today. I'll report back after I mount it on my S'Wing. Right now the temp is -2 f, and tommorow is not going to get above 0. I think I'll wait until we see something above 30 f. Thanks for the fast shipping! |

| Dennis,
I mounted the GPS mount earlier today and it is really nice. I will post some pics too so others can see. But it is so easy that pics really aren't needed. I did take all of the steering covers off since I adjusted the handlebars... I pulled them back a bit and it is so much more comfortable. But I will post pics of how I did it and how it looks from from the same angle I look at it when sitting down. Thanks and good work. _________________ Ride safe, JeffR 2007 Silver Wing (30,000 miles) 2005 Majesty 400 (sold 12,500 miles) 2004 Reflex (sold 3,500 miles) Givi Windshield, top case, vista cruise, power commander, dr pulley sliders, air hawk seat pad, (J. | For any present or future viewer of this forum looking at the GPS or Dual Flag Mount items manufactured by Dennis. I have both and they are top notch. Do not be concerned about the quality or his craftsmanship. They both add to the beauty and use of our Silver Wings. I attended the PGR dedication in Mississippi yesterday and three people looked over the flag mount and GPS mount. Dennis you can be proud of your work. Those that see it know immediately that it is not CCS. Thank you for your extra effort to put quality in your items. Gary |

| Regors, I bought one and mounted it and it works great. I went on a long ride this last Saturday and it works better than the mount I have that is on my handlebar. Being in the middle helps shade it better than when it is so high up on the handlebar. I'm glad I bought it and it is very well made. _________________ Ride safe, JeffR 2007 Silver Wing (30,000 miles) 2005 Majesty 400 (sold 12,500 miles) 2004 Reflex (sold 3,500 miles) Givi Windshield, top case, vista cruise, power commander, dr pulley sliders, air hawk seat pad, (J. | Ed... read the posts in this thread... there are even some pictures from Gene Woods of his mounted. I have NEVER seen or read of anyone who complained about this product. You will not be disappointed. If you need more pictures or more information, do a search and read more. This fellow makes good stuff. Kinda sad it is going to not be available after the next 16. Some folks are really going to miss out on something special. I have had mine for almost a year and am extremely pleased. Gary |

| Dennis or other will probably give you an actual value... Gary's spec is tighten to snug... they have been mounted for about 8 months and I just checked them a week ago... they were still tight. BTW.... the reason I checked... my front fender fell off and exploded when I hit a tough bump between the highway and a bridge. Cost me about $150 ... checked all other screws and bolts to try to avoid any other surprises. I found nothing else loose. Gary |

| Hi Don,
No torque value is given in the Honda Service Manual for these screws or I would have written that information into the installation instructions. Just use your best jugement. But do not over tighten them.

| Thanks Dennis, I don't know if I bought my bracket from you, it looks exactly the same except the plate is Aluminum. I got it from someone on the "other" SWing forum about 2 years ago... never got around to installing it I ordered the RAM cradle and Dual Socket Arm last night so I should have it installed soon. thanks again Don |

| Hi Don,
Yeah...that was Dan that sold those. I designed mine and then found out that he had made 10 and sold them for $50.00 a copy. I think mine is stronger. It's made of 1/8" steel plate not aluminum and I custom make engineered spacers that work really well supporting and holding what ever gets attached.

| Hi Dennis,
Yeah Dan.. that rings a bell :-)
I must admit that, in the photos, your spacers do look superior. Well, I'll give what I've got a try and if the spacers I've got aren't adequate I'll get back to you.
thanks for the info Don |

| The reason mine were so expensive, was because I was paying a professional to do them. There was a development cost, and a per unit cost, which was added up and then divided by the number of units to be sold. I am very happy that Dennis is making these and can make them available to the community at a lower price. However, I still think you got your money's worth. | I guess it helps to be born with no gift of manufacturing skills. I know I don't have em, can't learn em. I was born with one skill and that is to recognize real genius when I see it. Anyone that can take a raw material and create a tool or device that fills the needs of a consumer is special. Shame on anyone that thinks something like this should be free. Just because someone is your brother or friend doesn't mean that he doesn't need to eat. Dan and Dennis and others that create these mods for us deserve a return on their talents and hard work. If I offered to send you a widget for $5.00 you paid too much. A talented individual offering a widget for $50.00 is maybe asking a fair price. We have an advantage here... we all have similar needs. We share experiences and believe me, if I pay someone $5 or $50 for a widget that isn't what is claimed, YOU ARE GONNA HEAR FROM ME. I have purchased many items after reading about them from Swingers on this forum. I have eliminated others for the same reason. Is this advertising? Maybe, but use common sense when buying from someone on this forum or anywhere else. Look at the folks that have purchased before you. Ask if you need to. Thank all you Dans and thank all you Dennises for your efforts to make riding my Swing more fun. Gary Now that Ed McMann has died, I tend to overdo this pitch thing. But I send this in a very serious mood. |

| Hello DennisB Just found this forum today. Noticed the GPS mounting bracket. Looks alot like the one I made but mine didn't cost $5 altogether. How do the bevelled spacers keep from cracking the plastic handlebar cover? The bolt that comes in that hole is a shoulder bolt so it will hold tight without placing pressure on the plastic itself. You can see the ones that I made have the shoulder on them. |

| Well, I was going to send a picture of the one I made, but the site will not allow it so you will need to take my word, the spacer should have a shoulder not a bevel. |

You really need to re-read this topic. No where do I say "bevelled" in this product discription. |
