Idea Just a thought - I was looking at pics of someone's DIY backrest conversion, and realized that the buttrest, especially raised up as a backrest, resembles a car headrest. This brought to mind the idea that maybe one could create a mechanism similar to a car headrest to make the height of the backrest adjustable, from fully-lowered buttrest to raised lumbar support. Anyone have any ideas or plans along those lines? Maybe I'll have to cruise a nearby junkyard and examine some of the different car designs...

The usual donor for a backrest on a 650 Burgman is a headrest from an Isuzu 4x4, or you could buy a conversion kit for your Silver Wing buttrest from here.
