I'm blowing the headlight fuse. Do both headlights light when the hi-beam is on or does the low beam go out?

Thanks

On mine (2007) the low beam stays on when the hi beam comes on.

Both lights remain on when High Beam selected.

PostSubject: Headlight problem   Headlight Question I_icon_minitimeSat Jun 02, 2012 9:10 am

I found out that my headlight fuse blows when I turn the handle bars full right. After further examination, I can pull on one of the accelerator cables and blow the fuse. A volt-ohm-meter shows the fused side of the headlight fuse goes grounded when the ignition swith is on and I pull on one of the accelerator cables.

The accelerator cables are very tight when in this position, and must be rubbing agains the wireing harness. I have not tore the bike apart yet to do further examination.

Anyone ever had this problem?
