There's another rally in the same place in September--it's called STO for Scooting the Ozarks. I think it's around the 16th of September or so. I found it quite by accident while looking at scooter shirts on CafePress.com. The first day starts with a "Pie Run". Sounds like my kind of place. Bill and I are going to Russelville, AK, about a 100 miles short of Eureka Springs, in October, for a Motorcycle Tourers Forum event.
Been to any scooter rallies yet?

I will be going again this year. You and I had a good visit last summer discussing your "darkside" rear tire.
My group stays at Pine Top Lodge across the street from Travelers Inn.
Is the rally on your schedule?

I hear a lot of people stay at the Pine Lodge ... may I ask why ... just curious.

What is the rate at the Pine Lodge??

One of my children birthday is July 28.
They will be returning from college in a couple of days, then I will find out if when/where we will celebrate their birthday.

I was recently thinking how I could make the July 28 birthday and the July 29th start of the Renegade Rally. If I make the Midnight Ride of Paul Revere ( http://tinyurl.com/qedv57 ) on the interstates ... then I could attend both.

I really enjoyed the camaraderie from the last Renegade Rally.

The first year I attended (2003) a policeman from Bossier City (Yahoo SilverWing Group) suggested Pine Top. I met several people, we became friends, so every year we return.

What is the rate at the Pine Lodge??

About $45 per night. I share a room with my friend from Bullard, TX, Jim Harvey. Last year five nights cost me $96.00.

I looked at your "Midnight Ride" if you ride to Renegade Rally. It would be challenging run. I look forward to visiting with you if you get up there.

Dennis B, I will be in room 106 at Pine Top. Stop by and say "Hi".

I think my two biggest challenges will be getting some rest when I get there ... hopefully hotel will let me check in early and being able to go on the ride when I arrive.

Hi All,

What it's costing me a night is $42.00 for single, with one queen size bed and nothing fancey. That's a good deal. small moped

I'll be there just 2 nights. If any one wants a GPS mount for their Swing, You can pre order and I'll bring it along so you can save $6.00 on shipping. If I get some pre orders I might be able to stay 2 more nights.

Thank's sunny

Curious about those of you that have planned to attend the rally this year. Is the RAIN going to change any minds? I have reservations and plan on being there RAIN OR SHINE. I think the rain is suppose to be scattered and the way it has rained at my house for the last 3 days, there can't be much more water in the western hemisphere. Can't last more than 37 more days.
I got 4.3" in one hour and 25 minutes this morning.

I hope to meet some of you there.

Gary,

If animals, in pairs, start showing up at your front door...give me a call and I'll be over with my Ark construction tools and we can get that floating zoo together in no time. Lord knows you have the trees (lumber) around your house.

I'll be at Eureka Springs. Weather looks like it just might be nice this weekend.

Last year I could have used your Ark construction in my tent at the Renegade Rally last year. My North Face tent fly leaked directly into my tent ... North Face has since replaced my tent fly for free.

I will not be able to attend this year. Our family vacation/family reunion returned was delayed by a day (which was dictated by my children's work schedule), I just got back yesterday and drove 17 hours straight through last night. It would not be smart for me to drive the SWing through the night tonight ... while I am still recovering.

Have fun and take lots of pictures.
