| Hi, Saturday, February 4th I had my son & his wife drive me from Benton, AR to Olive Branch, MS so I could complete the purchase of a 2002 Silver Wing that I saw on-line and agreed to buy. The salesman told me it had a "Voyager conversion kit" that they had taken off due to liability issues. I tried to get him to get someone to put it back on after the sale ..but no luck. So we loaded the kit in my son's SUV and I headed out already way too late to drive back to Benton, AR. It was 4:15PM and drizzling rain. I had looked at the weather map that morning and it showed things were clearing out to the East from AR. So I felt comfortable knowing that just a few miles down the road it was clearing.... NOT. The last bike I had owned was a brand new 1967 Triumph 650 that I had until my son was born in 1969. I was comfortable on the very steady Silver Wing...But Cold & Wet!! About 1/2 home I stopped in Brinkly, AR because even though it had stopped raining about 30 miles back it was dark & I was COLD. I was going to get a hotel room and spend the night but I would not pay $50.00 for that pleasure. I collected my thoughts and figured if this 67 year old man had not had a heart attack so far then I was probably going to survive the rest of the trip. So off I went, Every time I stopped anywhere once the rain stopped and the pavement dried up I found that getting back on the interstate and hitting the "Sweet Spot" of having the bike settle into a good sounding power setting I was doing 75 to 80 MPH!! So when I glanced down at the speedometer... I throttled back to 65 MPH. This bike really likes to be above 75 MPH.... But althought it felt rock solid at that speed...It was Dark and I was COLD so I kept it down. I arrived home just before 10 PM and man did that warm house feel good! I fixed myself a bowl of clam chowder and thought to myself What a fine Bike I have just rode!!! My son & his wife had stayed in Memphis and had supper with some of their friends and they arrived just befor midnight with the trike kit. It looks pretty simple to put on. I hope to find out what company made the trip kit. I am sure when I post the photos of it someone will know. Anyway that is my introduction. Hope that my story entertained you. Some day soon I will post a good picture of the trike kit so someone will know the company that made it. - Attachments
2002SW.jpg - The trike kit is turned around in this quick photo I took. Looks like a bear claw scratches on the decals.

| No sir, You LIVED and lived to tell about it. Congratulations! I think there is a company called Voyager that makes the trike kit. I have not looked it up, but I know I've seen listings of bikes with voyager trike kits. I don't think you will have much trouble finding the information. UPDATE I just googled "voyager trike kit' and ther is a plethora of listings. Also if you look in the for sale section of this forum there is a service manual for 2002 listed by Dreamersmom for $10+$5 shipping. $15 for a service manual is a good deal if you don't have one. She says it looks used, so you can impress others that you have a manual and actually use it. |

| Hey,
Congrats on the SWing and you will really like it. I like the color you have too. It does seem the SWing is very comfortable at 75 or above and is very stable. I would buy the manual that HiYo mentioned above and look at the "Pictorial" section for maintenance advice. Keep us informed as you put more miles on it and good luck with the kit too. Welcome to the site and we hope you will be an active member. _________________ Ride Safe,

| I would gladly buy that service manual but I made the mistake of bidding on one on ebay yesterday. I am going to see if I can retract my bid and hope the one Dreamrsmom has for sale is still available. |

| I echo "Hi Yo" that was Living.
Glad you enjoyed the ride and very sensible to reduce speed with dark and cold conditions around you. |

Congratulations on your new ride. That's a great post about bringing your Silver Wing home. And it's a great idea to get a service manual. If I didn't already have one for my 2002, I would have bought Dreamrsmom's as soon as it appeared on this site. |

| Courtesy Trike Talk "You can call voyager Toll Free at 877-434-7901 and order a manual specific to your bike" In the for what-its-worth category, www.triketalk.com is well worth the effort.

| Congratulations on the new bike. That kit could be a Danson or a Tow-Pac. |

I have a Danson, I guarantee that the pictured one is NOT a Danson. The Danson fenders are part of a single across the back bit of fibreglass.

| http://towpacusa.com/?page_id=199 Looks like a Tow-Pac. Saw this kit before. They were at AirVenture in Oshkosh this past summer.

| This puts an additional two wheels on the scooter rather than replacing the rear wheel with two wheels. One problem I could see with this system is riding slowly over uneven ground as you could end up with the outer two wheels contacting the ground but having the actual drive wheel 'high and dry'
