It's so ridiculously cheap with free shipping that how can you go wrong? Sure, it has no sensor for remote mounting or lighting for night use, but mounted on the lower windscreen or upper tupperware who cares. |

| This is one of the best deals I have EVER read. The add states I can get "$5 back & 6 mos to pay on 1st purchase Subject to credit approval.See terms" Lets see... I pay $2.70 and take 6 months to pay. And they send me $5 back. Gotta be a catch. |

| Now you've done it! I ordered a couple of those as well as a variety of batteries and other assorted junk. Too easy with Paypal. I won't use a credit card online after having mine hacked and charges for motel rooms in Australia. Fortunately Visa caught it and canceled right away, with no charge to me. |

| You Yanks will have to learn a different temperature scale as it only comes in Celsius. Cheap little item though, worth a punt.

| Don't panic Ted... you will catch on really quick. You should know 0C is 32F ... 70F is 21C ... 100F is almost 38C. The ones in between will just become second nature after a few days. Look at it a new beginning to learn the metric system. Anyone that can fly an ultralight can surely learn a few C temps. Should be fun for you. For $2.70 can't be all bad. Don't forget you get $5.00 back.
Almost the whole planet other than the US uses the C scale. |

| Gary, at 77, my brain has become calcified. I'll give it a try tho, and if that don't work I'll send it on to Bigbird in Winnipeg. Will there be duty on $2.70 item? |

| TED!!! Do you still fly ultra lite with a calcified brain? I don't think there is anything wrong with your brain if you still do the flying hobby. I envy you. BigBird can afford a plethora of duty. |

| I may order one so I can look at it during our Texas summers and see 40 degrees. I'm sure it will make me much cooler, |

| There are a couple of 'markers': 61ºF is 16ºC. I can't remember the others but they help. _________________ Mike - Riding on the right - riding for pleasure!

| -40º F is the same as -40ºC. Don't think anyone will be riding in that sort of temperature.
There is a converter here. http://www.albireo.ch/temperatureconverter/

| Gary, gave up flying several years ago when new and onerous FAA were put in place that took the freewheeling fun out of it. I till go up with friends once and awhile to keep the juices flowing. |

Don't remember that one, but, I do remember Howdy Doody. Buffalo Bob was one of my idols in the day. I even got a Howdy Doody puppet for Christmas in 1955 or 56. I wish I hadn't lost it.
I am hoping you are not going to tell me that the word "plethora" was used on that show and I missed it.
Dang.. I missed the joke. "Duty" .. now I got it.... good one. The cold weather hasn't gotten to you yet. |

We went from Daylight Savings Time to Howdy Doody Time every Fall.
Now, about the aquarium temp gauge. Something fishy with a $2.70 device that includes shipping from Hong Kong. I would think the shipping alone would be more than $2.70 Makes no business sense. It's no wonder that N. America is going down the tubes. How can we compete with that?
