Only after a grooming session with a garden strimmer.

Is Perth in England or Ireland. I get confused about that.

This IS a FUNNY thread.

BTW Meldrew.. which one is the male? Question

Is that series available in the US via Netflix or something similar?

This is a clip from the comedy TV series "Mrs Brown's Boys", and the old Irish biddy waxing her 'bits' is Mrs Agnes Brown played by writer and comedian Brendan O'Carroll. There may be some clips posted on YouTube.

Perth is in Western Australia, there's also another older place named Perth in Scotland. Isn't that right Kurt! Smile

Sorry to offend, Meldrew. As an American I don't know the difference between Irish and English accents. Much the same way you might not be able to tell the difference between American and Canadian accents. My apologies. That clip, however, is one of the funniest things I've watched online in quite some time. Thanks for the heads up about where it comes from.

You're right about accents, I've ordered stuff by phone from the US and they had trouble understanding my Northern accent. Back here a lot of big companies have farmed their call centres out to India, and you can be there for hours as we can't understand each other.

I'm glad you found the YouTube clips, they are feckin' funny!

Doug, after loooking at the clip three dozen times and many of the others I found on youtube, I could have figured it out. That character is great. Kinda reminds me of a rougher version of another actor(tress) from England or Ireland. He/She? performs as an actress with I think pink hair. I haven't seen her/him in a long time, but he/she appeared(s) in Los Vegas clubs. I remember the character on Hollywood Squares some time ago.

I was not aware that Singapore shared their culture with the Irish. Embarassed

Meldrew: those Indian outsourced support sites are a problem for a lot of folks that don't speak proper English. And those of us like you and me that do, can be challenged as well. Rage

Kurt... I have looked at that picture you posted here and have not been able to find you. There is a blond in the middle of the second row with a blue bikini that sure has a happy look on her face. I am wondering if that might be an indication you are near by but out of view. Smile

Thank you, Meldrew, for telling me what that clip was from. I've discovered that there are several full episodes of that show on You Tube and it is one of the funniest shows I've see in a long time. I don't watch a lot of television anymore because the shows on (in my opinion) are CRAP! That one is quite good and I have you to thank for helping me find it. รท)

I'm glad I could help, and I also had a good laugh at the clips on YouTube . There's some "Mrs Brown's Boys" DVD's available on Amazon too.

To quote Meldrew

Yeah, like between the Scots and other normal English speaking countries, nearly as bad as the Midlanders, aye.
Yes Meldrew: Old Perth is in Scotland and a pretty little place it is.
Yes Gary: That blonde is cool. How did you know Ive got ducks disease?
It is very difficult manouvering around Perth WA during the lunch break these days especially without fully reflective sunnies. And And its not even summer yet. I love this place.
