Good after circulating very much along roads with free gravel I realized that the front wheel raises great free gravel and one impresses with the radiator the sheets they get damaged and especially when you are circulating and an insect gets across the dome has to avoid it I put some photos

Yeah... I think it looks pretty neat. I don't suppose it's technically wrong (by some manual or techie's opinion) to place the mesh in these positions, is it?

It WILL reduce flow but reduce the bugs and stones out of the airflow.

Luddites?

It's highly likely that Honda would have put mesh in those places if they'd thought it was necessary.

If others share that view, to label them luddites is both offensive and insulting and contravenes the first bullet in the sign-on agreement:
Aggressive or slanderous messages, as well as personal insults and critics, etc.

My guess is that Honda never expected the Swing do be driven on less than pretty good roads -- no chip seal, no really big flying bugs, etc. -- therefore the missing mesh.

No harm done.

You've ignored the point, Jon.

My previous post refers to the tone of the posts, not whether the mesh is a good idea or not.

Accepted, and thank you.

Things have been a bit fraught of late and efforts have been made to soothe feelings - raw nerves have been 'touched' and your response/apology goes a long way to maintaining the general friendliness. Smile

I've got some sheets of black plastic mesh I've often thought would be ideal for making a radiator guard, only I'd put it in front of those two plastic strips in the top photo to leave a gap between the plastic mesh and the radiator.

There's two good reasons why I haven't done it, (a) I can't be bothered, and (b) my home made mudflap stops road chippings and gravel being flung up at the radiator by the front wheel, so I don't need one.
