I can hardly believe it. I live in Silicon Valley and he has been an iconic visionary here since the 70's. He was only 56. Very sad.

What does it say about how dedicated the guy is that seeing the 4S introduced was the last thing on his bucketlist.

I switched on my Mac today and the home page is the Apple obituary photo of Steve Jobs. I didn't know that much about him apart from he was co-founder and CEO of Apple, to me he was the cool guy in the black t shirt and blue jeans giving the keynote speech at the launch of the iPod, iPhone, and the latest Mac computers. I also knew he was ill and that he handed over the overall control of Apple just recently. The media for once was right Steve Jobs really was a visionary, and and his legacy is millions around the world today will have learned of his death on one of his products.

Indeed a sad for the computer world. A great innovator and leader lost to that cursed disease no one can hide from.

I have been a fan, follower, user of Apples for years and Steve Jobs loss will be profound in the industry.

RIP to a very great man.
