What posts do you find offensive?ALL Those relating to this ridiculous topic, or others? ALL I was taught NOT to fight and kill. Now those are words that all of Mankind should live by. Hopefully I don't come across there as being offensive, arrogant, abrasive, and generally cocky.unfortunately, you do. |
I, personally, notice that wherever you post here, you come across as a know-it-all with a 'superior than thou' tone.
But what do I know? I 'm a new member |

That's fair. My response is that I guess I do know it all compared to about 95% of the other members on here. I try to help a lot of members with their technical questions, and I don't have the time to sugar coat, handhold, and elaborate on everything. Often the same question comes up over and over. I tell them the "Search" function is included in the forum to not waste others' time. I personally feel that I give a lot more than I get here. There are also more than a few members here who post as though they know what they are talking about, but their advice is very often dead wrong. I often post followups to their misinformation with some sarcasm. Do I know what I'm talking about? You tell me. Am I short or sarcastic? Sometimes, especially if you post incorrect info or BS. Am I a know-it-all? Nobody knows everything. Do I piss you off? Sounds like it. Do I care? Yes. That's why I rebutted your observation. If I didn't care, I'd be long gone from here. |

| Odd that someone who professes to be more "civilized" than the rest of us should take such an antagonistic stance. I'd rather share company with someone who doesn't feel that politeness and sensitivity towards others is a waste of time than the most astute know-it-all. You can have the most wonderful wisdom there is but if you're offensive nobody will listen.

| I never suggested I would carry the AK in my Swing for protection. I was only amazed it fit.
This could come in handy if I wanted to travel to my folks place and do some shooting in the countryside. Currently that is about it.
There is a risk and danger of our economy collapsing because no one in Washington is working to avert it. In that case an AK in my silver wing concept takes on new practicle meaning rather then the less then serious post here, but then that is a discussion for another day and probably other forums.

Not sure where you got those incorrect population figures from. The US population is currently 312.1 million. Canada's current population is 34.6 million, which is 11% of the US population.
As a country, we are more civilized, better educated, and have nowhere near your embedded intolerances and fears. |
I am not sure this is accurate, but I find many of your post to be very offensive. The arrogance, abrasiveness and general "cockingness" is very offensive . Especially from a "guru". Our founding fathers in the USA decided that we needed the right to bear arms as civilians. We broke away from England to have that right. So, please don't belittle us because of a founding believe. I have traveled in Canada, Europe and Japan, and have found laws and culture that I have not always agreed with, I have not criticized them. It sounds like (in many of your post, as with this one) you are trying to pick a fight. I hope I can stay above that. I have been taught through all of my martial arts training to do so, but I was also taught to defend my family, myself and my honor.

My first thought is, I wonder how effective a 61 year old ninja would be against an AK-47 . . . . . .Hmmm.
Personally, im glad BigBird has the balls to speak his mind, conformity of so boring.

| Everybody Chillax!
This is a great lesson in the fact that everything will offend somebody. I once saw a comedian who said, "Its my job to offend everyone in the crowd on some level. If I don't, then that offends me."
If we are afraid to say something because we will offend somebody, we will never say anything to anybody.
Remember that 90% of the things that offend us, are not the subject matter, but the tone of the discussion. It's not what you say, but rather how you say it.
Peace,
Dan

I bet I could find a clean public Tennessee bathroom quicker than John. Wait a minute. Clean and public Tennessee bathroom. There's an oxymoron. |
