Hey everyone I've finally found s cool place were everyone with these look machines collect. So ofcorse I have a silverwing 600

I was driving it other day and all the electrical power went .. So the engine cut out and nothing would work, I found it was the solenoid fuse under the left pannel , got around the corner this morning and it happens again .

What causes this to go ?

I've been reading through these forums also what a help they are! This ones a bit of a puzzle though.

Cheers.

If any fuse is blowing, you have an over current problem, caused generally by a short circuit. Check all the wiring to and from the fuse. Look for any signs of rubbing or cutting of the insulation where any bare wire could contact any metal on the frame or engine.

You probably have a short to ground somewhere.

Next step then is to get out a multimeter with the pinpoint sharp probes. Set the meter for continuity (that's the diode symbol) and the meter will beep when you have a complete circuit. If you push the pinpoint of one probe (red or black, doesn't matter) through the insulation, and then touch the other probe to ground, the meter will beep if you have a short.
Start with the large power wires running from the starter relay. Make sure the ignition is OFF.
Report back.

No it's pointless doing that (I have checked all that anyway) cause it's intermittent it do not blow as soon as you start the engine , so can't find it by measuring must be something being ran by the fuse ?

Thanks again

just putting bike back together- can't find any dodgy wiring it's only two wires to check - so it could be one of 4 things. 1,wire (checked). 2,worn out fuse. 3,dodgy ECT sensor. 4,dodgy regulator/rectifier.

Any Other thoughts ?

I don't think it's any of 2-4.
Fuses don't wear out, they fail from over current, especially since you've already replaced the fuse at least once and it is still blowing.
An ECT sensor will trigger a code in the check engine light circuit. If you suspect a faulty ECT sensor, do the diagnostics on it with your multimeter and info from the service manual. It won't cause a fuse to blow.
A dodgy voltage regulator will result in a dead battery, not a sudden blowing of a fuse. Again, check the output of the voltage regulator and the stator as well.
