PostSubject: Hello from UK   Fri Jul 01, 2011 3:01 pm

Hi all, I'm Ian from Canvey Island, Essex, UK.
I have a 09 Buell Ulysses XB12XT and a 01 Swing.
My girlfriend hates the bike, as I had a Goldwing 1800 before the Buell so I pretty much only ride the Swing. I bit the bullet today and took the Buell to be sold. I was thinking about getting a later model Swing but as mine only has 5500 miles on the clock, I think I've decided to just keep the old girl and maybe try changing the variator or sliders or both, so what do you guys think is the best way to go about improving the scoot? I'm pretty heavy with the right wrist so I only get about 40mpg, any thoughs would be greatly appreciated.

Ian

Hi Ya Ian from another Brit with a problematic right wrist. My MPG is marginally better but my machine is an 09 so expected I suppose.

This a the premier Silver Wing forum with a wealth of knowledge. In some instances with pictures too!!!! Laughing

Spend some time and browse around, Have a look at some of JeffR's pictorials for jobs like, belt replacement and many others. Mega useful, way better than the Honda service manual.
