| failed on 7 minor points, its just the labour that takes time, anyway failure points are:- front tyre tread rear tyre tread rear brake disc front brake reserve rear brake reserve shock absorber seal (costs about £12) rear brake light
I drive this vehicle everyday have owned for 5 years now.
I cant afford to do it so will have sell.
£15 in the tank does about 120 miles
52000 miles on the clock.
Any questions please ask.
2002 (02 reg)
On auto trader cheapest is a 2004 model selling for £2750, so I guess mine would be worth £1800-£2000 and as for MOT failure hence cheap price. |

You still may decide to sell, but I thought I would describe some solutions that would be low cost possibilities.

Check online for tire prices for best price
1) Check for non-Honda motorcycle shops with cheaper mounting/balancing cost
2) Search if anyone in your area has a tire mounting equipment they may allow you to do it or help you

Very simple instructions and will take about 15 minutes including cleaning

Will need more detail

I do not believe the shocks are rebuildable ... first time I have heard this one.

I am guessing a blown bulb.
1) I have not tried this but I believe you may be able to access from inside the seat storage area.
Open the seat then follow the outside of the black plastic to the rear ... near the rear there is a door that can be opened. Open the door and feel around for the bulb.
2) Have a Silverwing friend come over and remove a couple of panels and replace the bulb._________________ Bill - Georgetown TX 07 Silver Wing ABS Clearview w/vent, Givi E96/TB19/E52 with Admore Lighting, Alaskan Leather, Wrist Rests, 3M Solas tape, K&N air, Hyperpro spring, Grip Puppies, Airhawk, Utopia backrest, Stebel, Apexcone HIDs, StingerZ LEDs (w/Backoff WigWag), Knight Rider Sequential LED, NGK Iridium, Power Commander III, Manic Salamander, Saeng mirrors, Garmin Zumo 660, Dark-Side Sumitomo Tire |

| Everything but the shock are regular / cheap maintenance items. I'd probably just replace the shock, although there are usually places to be found that will rebuild them.
Why not give these guys a ring:
And see what a rebuild would cost. You may be pleasantly surprised. (Or maybe horrified! ;-) )Falcon Shocks |

If it's the front then it is quite rebuildable. That sounds about right for the part - the labor is what will crank up the cost. |

| Not often I am stunned! This is one such moment.
Seven minor fails!!!
Tread, lights, disc and reserve!!! Didn't you bother to check anything knowing you had the annual MoT inspection coming up?
The shock absorber seal!!! Must have shown signs of leaking for the inspector to spot.
Sorry bud, but all the above are simple faults that should show up on even the most casual of pre ride checks!!!!
If your not checking the obvious what else have you missed! I'm afraid I wouldn't buy the machine from you.
Sorry if it sounds harsh, simple safety checks that could have saved expense and possible lives. |
