Blue Ridge Parkway 5th Annual Ride

Pull out at 1:15 PM on a ride made for riders:

1st Moonshinner Hwy 28 North
2nd Hellbender Hwy 28 North
to Deals Gap Store about 30 minutes or less and back to Cherokee Pioneer Motel. http://www.pioneermotel.net 828-497-2435

Saturday - Meet at Oconaluftee Visitor Center 9:00 -9:45 AM meet and greet. 10:00 AM PULLOUT (be sure you are gassed up) to Blue Ridge Parkway and Pisgah Inn for lunch.

Important NOTE: This ride covers just a small section of the BRP. From Cherokee, NC (southern terminus) to the Pisgah Inn (a stop on the BRP) for lunch and then back to Cherokee. I'm not certain of the route back to Cherokee as Kim and I have never ridden back with the group. There are 2 stops along the way out. One stop is at the highest point along the BRP - get your cameras ready, but realize there are quite a few bikes and you may not get an isolated shot.

Some of us Charlotte area riders are going out Thursday, expecting to do the Dragon that afternoon. Others are leaving Friday morning.

For Friday, we might not go to Dillard GA for the lunch meet-up. Instead, we will probably eat in Cherokee or Dillsboro, NC and try to meet the group from Dillard on 28. We are staying in the Cherokee area, and Dillard, GA is about 1.5 hours south.

There are five Charlotte riders that I know of attending, mostly Burgman riders. Another Silverwing rider may also attend.
