Do you mean you don't close your eyes when you ride? A real man would. _________________ Ride Safe,

| Tagg... I enjoy the twilight rides too. Here in my part of Arkansas we have all the fragrances you mentioned... BUT ... you have to add in "Chicken Houses " and chicken manure. Farmers of all kinds use tons and tons of the manure. Awwww... the smell of the growing season at twilight. |

| Yep... one of the best Mexican places is right here on main street Rison. I eat there 3 or 4 a week. Marcela's run by Edder. I would eat there if it was right in the middle of a chicken house. Now I am in the mood for my favorite... Shrimp Taco Salad ... bye, gotta go... |

| Gary, are you having the same cicada issues we are having in Tennessee this year? I've heard they're supposed to be spread from South Carolina to Arkansas.
They're really bad here right now. I've been tagged a couple of times and it feels briefly like you have been shot with a bullet. Cleaning my visor was disgusting today. They whiz past like something from a Hitchcock movie.
I drove through Columbia (thankfully) in my car on Saturday and it was unreal.
Not that it's stopped me from riding, of course. But it's pretty gross out there. Unless you're a bird, then it's like an all-day buffet. |

| So thats where they went... growing up we always called them locust. We had them for about a month before our trip and I did meet a few on the trip face to face. Not sure which states they were in. We were so used to hearing them that I think we wouldn't have noticed their mating call. Yep, they make a BIG SPLAT. And I agree that it feels like being shot. Also, sounds like a bullet bouncing off of helmet sometimes. Thank God for Givi windshield. Would have been bigger problem. When we got home last Friday, they were gone. The variety we had were of the 13 year cycle species. Birds loved em. We traveled to western Arkansas and heard them. Eastern Arkansas had em. Not sure about north of Little Rock. There had to be trillions and trillions of these guys spread over just the state of Arkansas. |

| The cicadas are in Florida as well. Now I know the value of raising the AF214 to its highest elevation -- I normally don't like looking thru it, but it beats the h*** out of getting smacked by one of those little missiles. |
