First the plan was the Oregon coastline. Then when we realized that the weather was not cooperating we changed to Southern Utah. Now with the rain and snow in Utah this week we have had to cancel the whole idea of a bike trip. We will try again in a few weeks.

Delaying or postponing is a good idea. We've left in lousy weather and while if gives you a good story in the future - at the time it is miserable.

Much the same here - it's getting serious.

Had a church run scheduled for today here in the Sacramento area, but cancelled it after checking the wx two days ago and seeing a prediction of 70% chance of rain. Woke up this morning and it is, in fact, raining, so good decision.

Next Saturday is predicted clear and in the 80's, so we should be fine. Short run to China Wall past Foresthill.

The Oregon coast and the northern California coast are noted for their unpredictable wx patterns, particularly in the spring and summer. Summer is the fog season along the coast and rain and wind are not unusual, so if you come here to ride the coastline, be prepared for anything...
