PostSubject: Mirror Extension Ram Mount   Wed Apr 13, 2011 2:53 pm

For those of you with mirror extensions I found a ram mount to add a few more gadgets to the bars.

http://www.gpscity.com/ram-mount-motorcycle-handlebar-clamp-ram-b-367u.html

The mount replaces the 10m bolt that holds the extension to the original mirror mounting location.

In addition to the mount you will need stainless steel 8m nylock nuts (1.25 thread pitch) and matching washers.
The washer goes between the mount and the recess in the mirror extension.
Use the longest bolt of three that are packaged with the Ram ball mount.
I used a few wraps of 88 tape on the bare aluminum Ram base for aesthetics and a few wraps on the bolt threads to center and protect the threads in the mirror mount.

Does not have (or document) stainless steel 10MM screws ... so I would avoid.

+1 Bill
I forgot about that. I guess you could contact the seller and find out,but if they were stainless steel I would think they would list them.
