| Hello, I bought genuine Honda “touring windshield” off ebay last week. Screen came with 2 support arms-brackets. http://silverwing.org/cgi-bin/image_show.pl?aid=664 Has anybody got experience fitting this screen? Do I need to drill fairing and screw support arms to the fairing under the screen? I contacted screen seller but he could not advise as screen was fitted by dealer. Thanks. |

| I'm not sure if we can get those in the states but I'm sure they are the same as the stock screen. There is a "Pictorial" here on how to change screens too. And the owner of www.silverwing.org doesn't allow links to his site to work. The link you provided takes us to a "forbidden" screen since he has disabled links to work on his site. He is very close minded and thinks those that go to his site and other Silver Wing sites are traitors.
But I'm sure it will fit right on the SWing just like the stock screen does. Good luck and posts some pics of it when you install it. I tried to get one once but had to order it from the U.K. _________________ Ride safe, JeffR 2007 Silver Wing (30,000 miles) 2005 Majesty 400 (sold 12,500 miles) 2004 Reflex (sold 3,500 miles) Givi Windshield, top case, vista cruise, power commander, dr pulley sliders, air hawk seat pad, (J. | Gentlemen, I really appreciate your valuable input ( NOT ) … but I asked a specific question "has anybody got experience fitting Honda Genuine Touring Screen and do I need to drill fairing to fit screen support arms". |

| Look on the bright side mate, we're showing a lot more interest on here than the other silverwing site. Are you sure it's a 'Honda Genuine Touring Screen' that you've bought, I've seen a few older 400 Burgmans fitted with Givi screens that had support arms. |

| Indeed; when I Googled 'Honda Silverwing Touring Screen' none of the pictures showed support arms. _________________ Mike - Riding on the right - riding for pleasure!

| I just installed a GIVI windshield on my bike last week. I too received support arms with mine that didn't make any sense. The paperwork that came with the support arms eluded to 2001-2003 silverwings which led me to believe that they weren't necessary for my 2008. All of the windshield holes lined up and there aren't any excess screw hols in the windshield so I didn't see any reason to drill new ones in the bike.
just my 2¢ for what it's worth. |
