PostSubject: Civil War Trails in Arkansas   Tue Mar 29, 2011 2:31 pm

The Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism has a program promoting motorcycle touring in Arkansas. http://www.arkansas.com/outdoors/motorcycling/ They have put out a new brochure “Let’s Ride The Civil War Trail” available in PDF on that site. It outlines 8 trails (or highways nearest the trails) used by Union and Confederate soldiers in Arkansas during the Civil War. The first 1000 bikers to ride all the trails can earn a patch by sending in at least one photo from each of the trails. Sounds like an interesting way to earn a unique patch.
