PostSubject: A good to be alive day   Sun Mar 13, 2011 4:26 pm

It started at 6 am, cranked up the 'Wing' and set off for work. A quiet Sunday morning, slight rain but I'm sat on the Silver Wing so who cares. 23 miles disappeared quickly and I was soon deciding work was going to be boring today.

Then around 8:30am I heard the noise of engines. Very loud engines, four wheeled but can't be choosy.

The place I work has an all weather driving circuit for tanks and most tracked military hardware. Today it was hosting a rally competition.

So this;

Was replaced by this
Aston Martin.

And these;
A Ford Focus and Peugeot something or other!!!!, (I think).

A fantastic day and they paid me too!!!! And like all good fairy stories it had a happy ending.
Another ride home on the 'Wing" Smile

Hey Doug... do you get to drive the tank while at work? I thought you were a pilot or pole dancer.

Gary, no I don't get to drive a tank!! It's bad enough listening to them.

My flying and pole dancing days are behind me now. I'm happy sitting at the side road of life and letting it drift past me.

In light of all the sadness in life right now, yesterday was a great distraction from all the misery and grief that is happening around the world.
