Anybody UK side of the pond got plans for 2011 yet??

Does anybody know of an event worth attending during the year???

I'm definately doing 'Ride To The Wall' again this year, but would be interested to know of other things to see and do either here in UK or abroad.

The X9OC Kent Rideout will happen in the Spring. It's just a day's ride, usually in Kent but will be more East Sussex as this is #9 and we've done most of the good bits.
It's probably a bit far for you to come but you'd be welcome.

Not yet sure about any others.

In Spring Mrs M and I are off on the overnight Hull to Rotterdam ferry, then through Holland and into Northern Germany staying for a few days in Bremen. Then it's over to the Lunenberger Heide area for a few more days, It's an area we are familiar with, we were there on the big Burger two years ago and we really enjoyed it.

Are any of our friends from "over the pond" planning on attending the International Scooter Rallye being held in Cocoa Beach Florida USA this Feburary?

August 21st to 23rd Scotch corner for North Yorks area
Oct30 to Nov1st Bangor for North Wales area

skippy you could always give the bulldog a go we went last year and i know its run by the angels but really enjoyed it planning to do a bit of touring around snowdonia national park when the weathers better.

I'd love to attend such an event, but the price of the ticket and the hoops one now needs to jump through to visit the USA have really put me off.

I may ride down to the FL rally, which is just before Daytona Bike Week.(trailer biker week).


For those in Europe, while not scooter rally, try Stella Alpina, get there a day early. book nice hotel or camp up the mountain. Never saw bike up on trailer there. Want pin or tee shirt....30km up mountain, depending on weather/dust/mud/pavement/maybe a little snow. I have seen everything from GoldWing sidecar outfit to Vespa at top. Kind of a struggle on BMW RT in some sections-----my Vespa 150 was easy ride up. SilverWing would do, maybe drive line get a little warm in some sections.Ride up and down maybe 3 hours, return to hotel, clean up.....and then the wine and food, really good.

Sounds like a great event John, I'll look into that. I haven't been to Italy since I was a Kid and the thought of going to the spiritual home of Scootering tickles my sense of humour.

I do also want to visit Anzak Cove in Turkey, and was considering riding there with a friend. One of possible routes will take us down the spine of Italy....
