PostSubject: Belt Seems To Chirp   Thu Nov 11, 2010 1:15 pm

Has anyone had a problem with the belt chirping at low torque pulling. I have less then 2k on the clicker. When the scoot get warm she seems to chirp as I start out. I am wondering if this is an adjustment issue or a glazed belt problem.

Just one of many discussions on what I believe you are experiencing: http://www.silverwing600.com/silver-wing-topics-f3/advice-on-squeal-t884.htm#7255

My guess is quite simply a glazed belt.

Oh, and welcome to the forum - enjoy the ride.

When you say "low torque pulling" I'm guessing you may be referring to low speed, which is a high torque situation. The chirp / squeal is most often experienced in this scenario.
